In a web browser, go to http://www.sophos.com/downloads/ide/index.html. Download the IDEs files for the version of `Threat Detection Data’ that you noted earlier. Select the ZIP files.

Step 3

Open the downloaded IDE files package and then extract the IDE files to the Sophos installation directory: C:\Program Files\Sophos\Sophos Anti-Virus. Click `Start’-> `Control Panel’-> `Administrative Tools’-> Services. Restart the ‘Sophos Anti-Virus’ Service

Step 4

Right-click the Sophos shield and select `Open Sophos Anti-Virus.’ Go to `View Product Information’ and ensure that the `Detection Identities’ matches the `Number of IDEs’ for the package that you downloaded from Sophos.com.
